The British Museum is seeking a Project Curator to join the Endangered Material Knowledge Programme (EMKP) in the Department of Africa, Oceania and the Americas. EMKP is a global granting programme that supports the documentation of material practices (crafts, architecture, performance etc) for inclusion in an open-access digital repository (for more information, please see www.emkp.org). The main purpose of this role is to lead the digital vision and implementation of EMKP including digital preservation and curation of ethnographic resources and to adhere to and develop best practices in digital anthropology; to oversee and guide the EMKP granting process, working closely with and advising the global network of scholars; to advocate for the work of EMKP and the Museum through independent and collaborative research and dissemination.
