Beatrice is Digital Curator for the EMKP. She manages the programme’s research repository and the preservation of its digital collections. Working with EMKP’s international grantees, she supports the preparation and publication of digital collections and helps develop workflows that improve their accessibility, discoverability, and long-term preservation.
Her experience brings together digital curation, archival practice, and digital humanities, with a particular interest in the ethical stewardship of born-digital cultural heritage and community-generated knowledge. She graduated with distinction in Digital Curation at King’s College London and holds a PhD in Digital Humanities from the School of Advanced Study, University of London. Her doctoral research examined the challenges of preserving social media as cultural heritage, exploring questions of selection, access, ethics, representation, and community participation in the creation of digital collections.
Alongside her academic research, she has worked across archives, libraries, and research institutions in both the UK and Italy, on projects involving digital repositories development, collections development policies, access to and engagement with digital collections—including the Bodleian Libraries (Algorithmic Archive project), Archives Portal Europe Foundation and the National Archives in Italy.
